Galácz, Judit

Judit Galácz graduated at the Eötvös Loránd University in 2011 in Art History. She fulfilled a one-year Master Program at Central European University, Budapest in 2014 in Comparative History of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

Her main research field is the history of Hungarian avant-garde theatre between the two world wars with an interest in the theatrical movements of East-Central Europe and its relation to international artists and ideologies. She is currently a PhD researcher at the Art History Doctoral Program of Eötvös Loránd University. The topic of her dissertation is János Mácza and the history of Hungarian avant- garde theatre from 1915 to 1926. She published several essays and curated exhibitions about the personalities and movements of Hungarian avant-garde in recent years. Currently she works as an archivist at the Museum of Fine Arts – Central European Research Institute for Art History, Archive and Documentation Centre.
