He graduated from the departments of Art History and History at ELTE in 2007 as a member of the Eötvös Collegium. He defended his PhD dissertation at the ELTE Doctoral School of Art History in 2013, and it was published as a book in 2015. Since 2021 he has been Deputy Director for Archives and Documentation and Head of Department of the KEMKI Archive and Documentation Center (ADK). His research interests include Hungarian and European fine art of the 19th and 20th centuries, Hungarian art history writing and art criticism, and the history of painting in the Great Hungarian Plain. He is a regular contributor to arts journals, has edited several volumes of studies and catalogues, and has worked on the methodology of academic publishing. He has many years of experience as teacher in higher education, as an editor and as a curator in Hungary and abroad.
