Őze Eszter

Eszter Őze is a research fellow at the Central European Research Institute for Art History, working in avant-garde research. She completed her PhD in philosophy at the ELTE Institute for Art Theory and Media Studies. She is a researcher of early twentieth century art history and museology. In recent years, she has primarily focused on the interwar period, researching workers’ culture, as well as social museums and public health museums from this time. Since 2020 she has been teaching in the Department of Art Theory and Curatorial Studies at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest. Previously, she was a lecturer of the Department of Media and Communication at Eötvös Loránd University. Until 2021, she was a lead member of the Studio of Young Artists’ Association (SYAA). Between 2014 and 2017, she worked for the Kassák Museum.
