Csizmadia Krisztina

Krisztina Csizmadia is an art historian working as a museologist at the Collection of Prints and Drawings of the Hungarian National Gallery since 2015. She earned her degrees at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, where she is currently a PhD candidate. The topic of her doctoral dissertation is New Objectivity / Magic Realism in Hungary. Her research focuses on how New Objectivity is emerging in Hungarian art and how it is connected to European and American artistic tendencies. She co-curated exhibitions at the Hungarian National Gallery, such as Frida Kahlo – Masterpieces of the Dolores Olmedo Museum (2018) and Dancing 1925 – Hungarian Artists in Parisian Nightlife (2022) and curated Ilona Keserü 90 – Self-Powered Pictures (2023). She has been contributing as an assistant editor to Ilona Keserü’s oeuvre catalogs since 2018. She also works as a translator.
