Ágnes Sz. Horváth is an art historian. She earned her MA degree at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) – Institute of Art History (2020, Lajos Fülep Prize). She is currently a PhD candidate at the ELTE Doctoral School of Philosophy, the title of her thesis is Critical Reception of the Art of Lajos Vajda Between 1941 and 1983. Her research field is the interwar period of Hungarian fine arts with special focus on left-wing intellectual networks and artist circles. She is interested in cultural, political, and philosophical aspects and factors forming individuals’ and communities’ worldviews. Currently she works as a museologist in the Hungarian National Gallery’s – 19th and 20th Century Paintings Collection.
